So as far as regular weekends, well...I wouldn't count this as one of them.
We started out normal, until about 12:45. I started getting calls from the emergency room at the hospital. I was unable to answer my phone, and the caller left no messages. So I then spend about 15-20 minutes calling everyone I knew to make sufre that they weren't in some terrifying peril or anything. I finally decicded that since everyone was seemingly okay, it probably amounted to nothing more than a wrong number.
Shortly after I found that my youngest was pretty sick, and had come up with a temp of 103! I decided to take little man to the doctor, and as soon as I had him loaded and ready to go, low and behold, the emergency room calls again! This time I answer, and find that it is my cute little Spanish friend who had stayed with us for two weeks over the summer. She was in the hospital, because she "was very sick, and felt very bad."
Now this is where it get hairy, see she speaks Spanish; I speak English. So here we are trying to get information from one aanother, and it's kind of like two cave-people trying to decern each others grunts. Eventually we get to the point that she wants me to come. I promise I will, after I finish taking Andy to the doctor.
Well, it ends up that I was able to get a friend to go in my stead, and Andy was diagnosed with Strep. I guess he had it pretty bad, because both his ears, and one eye was infected as well.
So that's my extremely exciting story. I know, it's not really that great, but nothing really exciting happens around here, so there you go! :)
I would have to say the the highlight of my weekend was watching all those runners come in from the marathon! It was truly a sight to behold. Runners were coming in crying, laughing, limping, and smiling. I really don't have the words to describe how it felt to see all these thousands of people so satisfied with their accomplishments! Even the crazy guy was fun to watch! (Actually, he was probably the best entertainment one could have!)
Honestly, the best part was seeing Michelle cross that line. I am not sure I have been so excited for a person in my whole life! What she did was extrodinary! Hopefully I can do something that cool one of these days. Way to go Michelle!!! Whoo-Hoo!!

Time to update!
Chris just had his 5th birthday! He has been enjoying it all wekk! I cannot believ that my little man is getting so big!
Andy is speaking really well, he know most of his colors, all his shapes, but can count to save his life!
It's fun to watch my family grow up and get so big. Now we have to face the ultimate question: is it time for one more?

SHAC Triatholon
So a few wekks ago I decided to run a triatholon! I had discussed this earlier with Randy and Olga, but due to my back "injury," I wasn't certain that I would be ale to do it. Fortunately, I felt good so i went for it!
If you notice the picture, I look like I know what I am doing, but unfortunately I am about the worst swimmer in the world. I was in the inside lane, so I was able to talk with my boys while I tried not to drown. Chris was very sweet and followed me up and down the lanes. Mom and Dad thought I was wierd for taking my sweet time...What they don't know is, that I was just trying to stay above water!
The biking part was awesome! I am not sure how they managed to find a course that was uphill both ways, but they did. Due to the fact that we were all on pretty crappy bikes, there was a few times that we had to get off, and start walking. All in all, my bike time was not so bad.
The running part was what I expected to do best at, the only problem was that trying not to drown for 20 minutes had left my legs feeling like jelly. Fortunately there were Gatorade stands set up, and I was able to get a quick recharge. I finished with a not so great time, but I finished!
I am super glad I did it, although I wasn't even slightly prepared. My goal is that next year, I will do the sprint level (that's double everything), and I will do well. See ya then!

Some unique things my kids have taught me.
I wish I had some pics to arrange on the blog for today, but I don't. I will update the blog with some cute ones ASAP. For now, just know that I love you all, and I am so happy for all the random joys I get to experience every day. AWWWWW! How touching :)
So My cute little boya are pretty creative, as most little ones are, and today I have realized just how much they have taught me.
1. You have to say, "good night" at least six times before they hear it, and there is also a compulsive need to have the light turned on and off at least three times before it sticks.
2. When shopping for dish soap, don't buy the ultra-mega-super sized concentrated dish liquid. The bottle is too big, and there aren't enough rags in the world to sop up all the bubbles. Get the smallest one needed.
3. When Chipmunks fart it is hilarious, when Daddy farts, he "needs to remember his manners." (Chris reminds us)
4. You can get kids to pick up anything if you bribe them with pennies! The best part is, that they don't even care that you found the pennies in thier piggy banks!
5. Nothing is funnier or sadder than your child's first swear word.
6. Marker will come off of couch cushions, but red colored pencils stain walls permenantly! Not even a Magic Eraser can touch that.
7. There are millions of secret hiding places in a home that only children can see. That is where they put your keys, markers, only one shoe (no more, no less), and other valuable items.
8. A smile can make your stomach fill with butterflies. It's really a cool thing!
9. When you have bunk beds, and a kid with reflux, there will be moments that can quite literally turn the whole bedroom into a state of emergency. Also, all little brothers should beware of being on the bottom bunk when thier older brother has a tummy ache. It's not pretty...I know, I've seen it!
